Georgia‑Pacific is now hiring Maintenance Technicians to join our Corrugated facility in Albany, GA! This position is eligible for relocation incentives.

Physical Location: 405 Maxwell Drive, Albany, GA 31701

Salary

Starting at $28.71–$35.60 (based on skill and experience)

Ability to increase compensation based on skills and contribution to overall performance.

Shift

Flexible; able to work any shift, including overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Shift Hours

2‑2‑3 Rotation, 12‑hour shift

7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

What You Will Do

Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.

Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.

Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.

Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.

Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Helping to meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program.

Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.

Working in a loud
oisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, and high‑volume environment.

Performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Two (2) years or more of rotary machinery industrial maintenance experience.

Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.

Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry.

Experience programming PLCs.

Experience with a manual lathe and milling machine.

Experience working with 240/480‑volt 3‑Phase motors.

Experience with MIG, TIG, Arc welding.
