Overview
As a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk, you will provide friendly, courteous and helpful service to customers while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Bulk Deli department.
The Opportunity
Assist customers throughout the shift.
Clean, fill and rotate the cheese and deli displays.
Maintain department cleanliness during all shifts.
Work under direct supervision of the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager.
Completing both morning and afternoon shifts, which involve replenishing product as instructed.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25, 45, and occasionally 60 pounds.
Stand, walk, and kneel as required in a fast‑paced grocery store environment.
Present information to customers and co‑workers in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
Use common sense to follow written or oral instructions.
Respect health and safety policies and serve under proper food handling protocols.
Qualifications
Read and write Spanish/English; interact with general public and co‑workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra awesome).
Retail Management Certificate (extra awesome).
Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification (required).
