Job Description
MS NOW is looking for an experienced Segment Producer for All In with Chris Hayes. This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.

Responsibilities

Research, write and produce daily segments, specifically the host's lead monologue

Lead production of segments for digital platforms, including YouTube, Social Media & MS NOW's DTC products

Determine video and sound for assigned segments and interviews

Communicate story development with senior producer

Be in control room during airing/recording of segments

Take part in editorial planning

Pitch story ideas

Qualifications

Experience producing compelling visual stories with graphics, video, sound and a strongly-written script.

Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

At least 5 years of experience in some form of journalism required (i.e. cable or network news, website, newspaper)

Superior writing and production skills

Strong knowledge of American politics

Strong research and reporting skills

Control room experience and breaking news experience is preferred

Candidate should be able to deal with daily script deadline pressure, including the lead segment which kicks off the show

Desired Qualifications

Possess ability to develop story ideas, research and plan segments, specifically the lead segment of the show

Exceptional editorial skills: Ability to recognize stories with high potential for provocative, compelling television

Experience with content production for digital & social media platforms

Knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture

Wide-range reader of news, including op-eds

Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news.

Salary
$93,000-110,000
