Interventional Cardiology Locum Opportunity in New Mexico Beginning ASAP - Ongoing Scheduled Clinical Hours Assignment
Coverage Details
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Long term, full time coverage
Multiple providers accepted
Credentialing timeframe: approximately 30 days with clean file and active licenses
Requirements
Completion of an ACGME accredited or AOA accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
Board certified or actively participating in the Cardiovascular Disease certification process
Certification must be achieved within 7 years of completing training
Subspecialty certification through one of the following:
American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) - Cardiovascular Disease
American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) with special qualifications in Cardiology
Active New Mexico medical license
ACLS
BLS
Required Procedures/Skills
Outpatient cardiology
Echocardiography
Assignment Details
Hospital rounding required during assigned coverage week
Inpatient consults and ICU coverage as needed
Patient volume: approximately 15-20 patients per day in clinic
Adult patients only
22 exam rooms
Reading walk in EKGs and hospital echocardiograms
Support staff includes CMAs, NPs, patient care coordinators, and front office staff
Trauma level III facility
General cardiology role includes EKG and hospital echocardiogram review
EMR: Athena (clinic); Cliniview and MedHost (hospital); Ingenious Med for charge capture
