Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all standard duties within the powder coating department, including operating both automatic and manual paint systems.
Program and run paint guns to achieve optimal finish quality.
Set up the paint system for proper sequencing of gaps for color, product, customer changes, and production needs.
Responsible for initiating and/or shutting down the powder coat line and oven in accordance with established procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Maintain compliance with all quality control procedures and standards.
Ensure proper use of machines, tools, and equipment; report maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime.
Improve handling, hanging, racking, and line density to optimize efficiency.
Assist in training and directing department employees.
Communicate and enforce company rules, regulations, and policies.
Oversee material handling methods to ensure smooth production flow.
Respond to chemical spill emergencies and follow SDS guidelines for material handling.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Complete accurate production records and daily labor time cards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Preferred: 3-5 years knowledge of industrial powder painting equipment, processes and quality procedures generally gained in 3-5 years’ experience.
Education
Preferred: High School Diploma or better.
