Business Development Manager

JCW is recruiting on behalf of a venture-backed, tech-enabled insurance brokerage that is rapidly scaling within the commercial property space, with a specific focus on wildfire-exposed risks. This is a high-impact, production-focused opportunity for a driven broker looking to build a significant book in a dislocated and fast-moving market.

Key Responsibilities

Build and own a self-generated pipeline of commercial property business, driving opportunities from prospecting through to bind

Develop and activate strategic channel partnerships (brokers, MGAs, carriers, and referral sources) to generate consistent deal flow

Lead the full sales cycle while applying strong technical expertise to structure, position, and close complex risks

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in commercial property brokerage, with a proven track record in business development/production

Demonstrated ability to generate and grow a book of business **ideally $10M+ in premium**

Strong technical knowledge of property insurance, ideally within CAT-exposed or hard-to-place risks
