York County Community Action Corp. (YCCAC) is seeking a Registered Dietitian or RD‑exam eligible candidate to join our WIC team as a Nutrition Coordinator. Position Summary
The WIC Nutrition Coordinator supports the nutrition education component of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program and provides direct nutrition counseling to eligible participants. This position works closely with the WIC Program Director and team to ensure high‑quality, participant‑centered services that meet program requirements and promote positive health outcomes for families.
This position balances direct service, clinical judgment, and program coordination in an appointment‑based clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide nutrition counseling and education to WIC participants
Support and monitor participants with nutrition‑related risk factors
Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners as needed
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in compliance with WIC guidelines
Support development and implementation of nutrition education materials
Contribute to clinic operations and outreach activities
Assist with quality assurance and program monitoring
Support staff leadership in the future as responsibilities expand (not immediate)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN), or eligible to sit for the Registered Dietitian exam at time of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in maternal and child nutrition, public health, or community‑based programs
Experience working with diverse populations and families
Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills
