Team Overview
Would you like to be part of a team building and evolving enterprise‑grade Master Data Management (MDM) platforms that power critical business decisions for customers worldwide? Our MDM Technologies team is responsible for designing, scaling, and modernizing systems that manage core business entities—such as customers, suppliers, leads, and reference data—ensuring they are trusted, consistent, and readily available across downstream applications.
The team works at the intersection of data architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms to solve complex challenges related to data quality, identity resolution, integration, and governance at scale. We build highly available, resilient services that support both real‑time and batch workloads, integrate seamlessly with internal and external platforms, and operate reliably across global regions.
Engineers on this team work closely with product, data, and platform partners to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. We value strong architectural thinking, hands‑on technical leadership, and a pragmatic approach to delivering high‑impact systems that balance data quality, performance, and speed.
The Role
The MDM Technologies team is looking for a Software Architect to design and lead the evolution of Dun & Bradstreet’s flagship Master Data Management (MDM) suite of applications.
This is a highly visible position requiring strong technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. You will mentor senior engineers, guide architectural decisions across the platform, and set technical direction for major enhancements to MDM applications. You will partner closely with product, data, and platform teams to translate business requirements into resilient, cloud‑native architectures, while balancing data quality, performance, and time‑to‑market.
As a SW architect, you will keep informed on industry trends on AI. Supporting architecture reviews and technology roadmaps that consider AI as an enabler for automation, insight generation, and decision support.
Benefits
25 days annual leave (plus 2 paid volunteer days & 1 paid un‑sick day)

Pension Contribution
Family Friendly Leave (Maternity, Paternity, Parental, Marriage and Bereavement)
Life Assurance
Educational Assistance Program
Life‑Style Account (D&B will match your contributions up to €40 per month and can be used to claim for a range of health‑related, leisure or lifestyle activities)
Responsibilities
Provide architectural leadership, designing and guiding the delivery of highly scalable, high performance, and resilient systems that support enterprise‑wide data mastering and integration needs.
Define and communicate technical strategy and roadmaps for major platform initiatives, partnering with engineering leadership, product, and stakeholders to align architectural direction with business priorities and measurable outcomes.
Partner with engineering teams as a trusted technical advisor, helping shape solutions that enhance existing services, modernize platform capabilities, and meet evolving business and customer requirements.
Identify architectural risks and tradeoffs early, evaluating their impact on platform reliability, scalability, and delivery timelines. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and contribute to the evolution of standards, tools, and best practices across the organization.
Mentor senior engineers, fostering strong architectural thinking, technical excellence, and shared ownership of platform outcomes while ensuring solutions meet both business objectives and engineering quality standards.
Requirements
Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
In‑depth working knowledge of cloud computing with hands‑on knowledge of building enterprise‑grade solutions in multi‑region cloud environments. Google Cloud experience is a plus.
10+ years of proven software systems design and delivery.
Proven track record of successful collaboration and influencing skills across cross‑functional organizations.
Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships at senior management levels, particularly with enterprise architects, senior technology staff and operations teams.
Advanced programming skills and comfort with multiple languages (Java, Python, Scala).
Experience with and excellent understanding of distributed computing challenges and tradeoffs.
Experience building data‑intensive SaaS products or big data processing systems using Hadoop, Yarn, Spark, MapReduce, etc. is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of AI‑driven software development trends and methodologies, with the ability to assess their architectural impact and guide adoption in a scalable, secure, and governed enterprise environment.
Hands‑on experience designing and delivering AI‑enabled and agentic systems, including using machine learning and large language models to automate workflows, augment decision‑making, and enhance platform capabilities is highly desirable.
Experience designing and delivering integrations with modern cloud data platforms and analytics ecosystems. Hands‑on knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, and Google Bigtable is a plus.
Demonstrated track record of creatively developing and implementing advanced solutions. Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills. Ability to multitask and respond quickly to changing customer demands and market conditions.
Experience with and excellent understanding of data design options and tradeoffs faced when selecting data systems, protocols, sharing strategies, and normalization levels.
