Overview
The Manager of Data Management & Integration is responsible for operational leadership and delivery of the organization’s healthcare integration services, supporting reliable and secure data exchange across clinical, financial, and revenue cycle systems. The role manages day‑to‑day operations of the enterprise interface environment, including platforms such as IRIS, Rhapsody, Summit, and Cloverleaf, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Integration Operations & Delivery
Oversee daily operations of the enterprise integration environment supporting clinical, financial, and operational systems.
Manage the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of healthcare interfaces.
Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of interface engine platforms including IRIS, Rhapsody, Summit, and Cloverleaf.
Maintain integration documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Support integration initiatives related to system implementations, upgrades, and application deployments.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor a team of integration engineers and analysts.
Establish clear operational goals, performance metrics, and development plans for team members.
Ensure appropriate staffing and workload distribution to support operational needs and project initiatives.
Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the integration team.
Integration Project Support
Lead integration delivery for enterprise IT initiatives including system implementations, upgrades, and workflow enhancements.
Coordinate integration activities with application teams, infrastructure teams, project managers, and clinical stakeholders.
Ensure integration deliverables are completed on time and aligned with established architecture and standards.
Support testing and validation activities across multiple applications and environments.
Vendor Coordination
Work with vendors supporting integration platforms and interoperability solutions.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure support services meet operational expectations.
Assist with vendor evaluations, product upgrades, and platform enhancements.
Serve as a liaison between vendors and internal teams to resolve integration‑related issues.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Implement monitoring and incident management processes to ensure reliable interface operations.
Ensure compliance with healthcare data security standards and regulatory requirements including HIPAA.
Maintain documentation and operational procedures for integration services.
Drive continuous improvement in integration reliability, support processes, and system performance.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in healthcare IT integration, interoperability, or interface development.
2+ years of experience leading or supervising technical teams.
Experience supporting enterprise integration platforms or healthcare interface engines.
Experience delivering integration solutions across clinical or healthcare systems.
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and interoperability requirements.
Preferred
Experience with healthcare interface engines such as:
InterSystems IRIS
Rhapsody
Summit
Cloverleaf
Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including:
HL7
FHIR
X12
CCD/CCDA
Experience supporting integrations across:
Clinical systems
Revenue cycle systems
Financial platforms
Experience working within hospital or multi‑facility healthcare environments.
