Quick Job Summary- Role: Locum Tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Location: Petersburg, VA 23805 (easy commute to Richmond; near the James River)
- Assignment Dates: June 8, 2026 - September 5, 2026 (13 weeks)
- Shifts: 4 shifts/week; 8-hour day shifts (10- and 12-hour shift options possible; holiday coverage possible)
- Charting/EMR: Epic
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,050 - $5,320
- Lodging/Housing Stipend: $110 per day
- Car Rental/Mileage Stipend: $250 per week
- Openings: 3 locum tenens CRNA positions
- Work with a modern facility and a diverse patient population across General, Orthopedic, OB, and Pediatric cases.
- Collaborative anesthesia care team with a 1:4 MD to CRNA supervisory ratio.
- Experience a historic Virginia city with parks, cultural sites, and quick access to Richmond and the James River.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Current registered nurse license; board certification as a CRNA required
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists certification (current or recertified)
- Eligible or willing to obtain Virginia state license (candidates needing VA licensure will be considered)
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain/verify informed consent
- Discuss anesthetic plans, options, and risks with patients and families
- Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia for General, Ortho, OB, and Pediatric cases
- Continuously monitor physiologic status and provide perioperative management and clinical interventions as needed
- Collaborate closely with supervising anesthesiologists and perioperative team members
- Document care accurately in Epic and adhere to facility policies and safety protocols
- CRNA with strong perioperative clinical skills and comfort across a broad case mix
- Independent, team-oriented clinician who adapts well to travel assignments and new facilities
- Committed to patient safety, clear communication, and timely documentation
