Responsibilities
Analyze drawings and solid models of aerospace parts to determine the tooling required to produce patterns for investment casting.
Design fixtures and tooling necessary for production.
3D solid modeling and surface modeling.
Observe first article production and inspection to verify process is followed and results are conforming.
Develop methods to improve manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with internal tool makers and external vendors on tool designs and modifications.
Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications as needed to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equal.
Strong knowledge and experience in SolidWorks or other CAD software is required.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of GDS and T.
Strong communication skills.
Candidate should be respectful and team oriented, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
