Position Overview

Provide GI coverage including endoscopy coverage and consults during scheduled hours (7:00a-4:30p).

Clinic setting: hospital-based.

Typical volume: 18 outpatients / 20 inpatient scopes per day.

Site Details

Support staff: 2 physicians and 2 APPs; all services onsite at the hospital.

Onsite lab and X-ray.

EMR: Cerner.

McLaren Northern Michigan is a 202-bed regional hospital in Petoskey, serving northern Michigan.

Required Qualifications

MD/DO.

Board Certified (willing to review Truly BE).

ACLS.

Active Michigan license and Michigan CSR at time of submission.

DEA (verbal confirmation required at name clear).

Completed GI fellowship with minimum 2-3 years of experience.

Clean background (no actions; minimum malpractice may be acceptable).

COVID vaccine.

Local candidates / driving in required.

Credentialing / Onboarding Items (must be provided)

Name clear requirements: name, NPI, years of experience, phone number, malpractice history, and specific availability for the dates requested.

NPDB self-query (within 30 days) required at presentation.

Presentation requirements vary by worksite; additional documents typically include board certification verification, license verification, BLS, etc.

Timekeeping

Reverse invoicing: provider will use DocTime to clock in/out (no paper timesheets).
