Marketing/Proposal Intern - Summer 2026

Interns gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with senior staff. Our Strategic Growth Team (SGT) is seeking a Full‑Time Marketing/Proposal Intern to work out of our Houston, TX, Austin, TX, or Dallas, TX office. This temporary position supports our Transportation & Infrastructure and Planning and Advisory business lines and is anticipated to take place during Summer 2026. The role requires a current undergraduate or graduate student.
Your Role

Support a variety of business tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
Learn basic principles of business development/marketing.
Assist with developing content and automations on a SharePoint site, creating Transportation submarket collateral and PowerPoint presentation pitch decks.
Assist with grammatical/technical edits of proposals.
Assist in collecting and maintaining proposal documentation.
Complete training on assigned tasks.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Required Qualifications

Actively enrolled in an accredited Marketing, Communication, English, Business, or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later.
Must be 18 or older.
Demonstrated interest in marketing or the engineering field and a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects.
Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to both engineering and non‑engineering audiences.
Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers on executive projects.
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and the ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications

Actively enrolled in an accredited Marketing, Communication, English, Business, or related Masters or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later.
Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.
Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365 or Adobe Creative Suite.
Compensation

Expected Pay:

$22.60 – $29.38 per hour (Chicago Only)
WSP USA provides the compensation range that it believes might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity and specific geographic location.
