Job Summary
This is a part‑time position in the Bursar Office call center. Primary responsibilities include making and receiving phone calls and other communications from students, parents, etc., regarding student financial accounts. Calls can involve answering questions, referring to other departments as needed, and processing student payments.
Other responsibilities include assisting with filing paperwork pertaining to litigation and accounts in collections, and indexing, folding, and processing paperwork to mail out to students as needed.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The position accommodates class schedules and prefers students able to work 20–27 hours per week.
Additional Job Details
No weekend work required
No work on all state holidays and most federal holidays
Schedule changes each semester to accommodate class schedules
Part‑time work – great for students
Accounts clerk experience gives resume value and transferable skills
Previous customer service or call center experience preferred, but not required
All necessary training will be provided
Qualifications
Required: 1 year experience in customer service or cashiering
Preferred: Bilingual
Background Check: Yes (criminal background check required as a condition of employment)
Benefits: This is a part‑time hourly position with no healthcare or retirement benefits.
