DEBONE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - 2nd Shift
Description
This position is responsible for ensuring that all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost‑efficient manner possible while still maintaining the customer's specifications. The supervisor must also ensure that all reporting requirements are met for the area of supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Train and provide an environment for employees to achieve maximum quality and productivity in their respective positions.
Plan and schedule manpower, materials, product, and machines to most effectively and efficiently utilize departmental policies and procedures fairly and equitably to maintain safety, quality, and overall personnel satisfaction standards.
Manage employee performance, providing positive and corrective feedback.
Promote department and company goodwill through proactive employee communication and involvement.
Investigate, in cooperation with other departments, areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance and provide suggestions.
Promote safety throughout the area where the crew is working.
Basic Skills & Qualifications
3 or more years of supervisory experience.
Previous poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
Leadership experience with 20 or more employees.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Capable of independent decision making.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Must be able to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends, as required.
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED; college degree in a related field preferred.
