Areas of focus are clinical care management, medication management, risk management, quality assurance, regulation compliance and staff retention & development. This role directly supervises, motivates and encourages all resident care staff.
Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of medication management and administration with excellent critical thinking skills
An unwavering focus on customer service and resident & family relations
Compassionate and caring work ethic
Communicate and maintain positive relationships with employees, residents, and family members
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
High level of organization & attention to detail
Innate ability to resolve problems creatively and proactively
Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines with accuracy
Highly skilled in Microsoft applications
Answer call lights and requests in a professional timely manner
Maintain confidentiality of all resident information and ensure resident privacy
Report observed changes in resident's condition or behavior promptly to supervisor
Order and receive medications
Accurately document medication administration
Provide quality resident care following their individualized care plans
Make resident safety and satisfaction a priority
Report to work on-time and ready for the workday
High energy
Promote a safe and clean working environment
Attend/complete required in-services and other mandatory trainings and meetings
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Current Med Tech Certification preferred
Minimum of one year of medication management experience preferably in the Senior Living environment
