Note:

Role Overview
We are seeking an AV & Collaboration Engineer to serve as a core member of a global infrastructure engineering team. This role supports both engineering and implementation responsibilities, driving the evaluation, design, and deployment of next‑generation workplace collaboration technologies. The engineer will act as the regional technical authority, ensuring deployments meet global standards while supporting hands‑on delivery. This is not a traditional support role; it blends engineering leadership with real‑world execution across large‑scale initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with global engineering teams to evaluate emerging AV and conferencing technologies.
Conduct proof‑of‑concept testing in regional labs to validate hardware and software performance.
Lead pilot deployments, gathering user and technical feedback to refine global design standards.
Design standardized AV "building blocks" for huddle rooms, conference rooms, and executive boardrooms.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including signal flow diagrams, wiring schematics, and configuration guides.
Ensure all regional deployments align with global security, networking, and aesthetic standards.
Serve as a Tier 3 technical escalation point for complex AV and collaboration issues.
Liaise with AV integrators and vendors to ensure project delivery meets engineering specifications.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, supporting complex, enterprise‑scale initiatives.
Technical Skills
Proven expertise in enterprise‑grade Audio Visual (AV) engineering.
Strong experience with conference room and collaboration technology deployments.
Expert knowledge of video conferencing, AV over IP standards, control systems, and audio DSP.
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms, including back‑end management and advanced configuration.
Technical proficiency in Cisco Control Hub and Call Manager.
Experience with professional‑grade DSPs, PTZ cameras, beamforming microphones, and large format displays/active LED walls.
Proficiency in reading and understanding architectural drawings and signal flow diagrams.
Functional Skills
Ability to function as both a hands‑on implementer and an engineering authority/escalation point.
Experience operating in large‑scale, multi‑office deployments and regulated enterprise environments.
Ability to operate independently as a remote extension of a global team, maintaining productivity across different time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
Background with an AV integrator or enterprise deployment team.
Networking knowledge is a plus, but not a replacement for AV expertise.
Experience supporting executive boardrooms and high‑impact collaboration spaces.
Vendor coordination and delivery oversight experience.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $69.00 - $74.00 per hour. The contract length is 18 months with the potential to extend or convert.
Apex is an equal‑opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
