Main Responsibilities
Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
Performing preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
Partnering with manager to learn new skills via Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license.
Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Basic computer skills.
Compliance with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management.
Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including correct tool selection, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices.
Regular, predictable, full attendance.
Current driver qualification file (including annual MVR check, DOT physical, safety performance history). CDL holders required to complete DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA clearinghouse review.
Willingness to work required schedule, location, complete employment application, background screening (criminal checks, past employment and education), pass drug screen and physical, and potential travel for training.
Physical Requirements
Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, sit for extended periods.
Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate required tools or controls.
Work safely at heights with ladders and elevated platforms.
Work safely in all weather conditions.
Maintain visual and hearing acuity to navigate work environment.
Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Ability to push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs.
