As a Systems Engineer II – Flight Deck & Human Factors at Honeywell, you will be part of our Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform team, supporting the application of human factors engineering to the design and development of advanced flight deck systems. You will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, developers and designers to create and implement forward‑thinking Avionics solutions.
Responsibilities
Support flight deck and avionics system requirements development
Apply foundational human factors principles to system design
Assist with task analysis, workload assessment, and usability evaluations
Support pilot interaction evaluations across operational scenarios
Assist with HMI development (displays, alerts, controls)
Support human factors certification documentation and FHAs
Stay updated on the latest advancements in systems engineering, human factors, and flight deck technology

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
~2 years of engineering experience
Interest in human factors or pilot interaction
WE VALUE
Coursework in human factors, psychology, or cognitive science is a plus.
Familiarity with flight deck architectures (PFD, MFD, FMS) is of value.
Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies and tools
Interpersonal and communication skills, enjoying to work collaboratively in a team environment.
