We’re partnering with a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm to identify a
Civil Graduate Engineer
for their growing Public Infrastructure team in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands‑on experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, transportation design, and large‑scale infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Do
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater runoff, storm sewer systems, and open channel design
Develop drainage layouts, profiles, and cross‑sections using OpenRoads Designer
Support transportation and TxDOT design efforts for roadway and infrastructure projects
Assist in preparing plans, specifications, and construction documents
Compile and submit documentation for local, state, and federal agencies (e.g., DOT, FEMA, USACE) to ensure regulatory compliance
Contribute to technical reports, drainage impact studies, and stormwater management reports
Collaborate with roadway and multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage systems with infrastructure elements such as bridges, culverts, and detention systems
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
1–4 years of experience in roadway and/or drainage engineering
EIT certification with a clear path toward PE licensure within 2–3 years
Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools such as HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, HY‑8, XPSTORM/XPSWMM, and ArcGIS Pro
Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ProjectWise is a plus)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related tools (Excel, Word, Bluebeam, etc.)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
