• Patient Demographics: All ages

• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 42 patients per day (15K annual volume)

• Admissions: Included

• Phone Consults: Included

• Case Mix: General emergency medicine cases

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 14 ED beds

• EMR System: Epic

• Office Equipment Available: Standard ED equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: Limited subspecialty coverage (no ENT, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, dialysis, or pediatrics)

• Support Staff Available: APC support 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Monday-Saturday)

• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active KY license required

• Board: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required)

• DEA: Active KY DEA required

• Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable with single physician coverage

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency department coverage for all patient presentations

• Manage patient care independently during shifts

• Collaborate with APC support staff during coverage hours

• Coordinate care with available specialty services

• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
