• Call Ratio: Continuous during assignment

COVERAGE DATES

• May 26 (orientation during day; coverage begins 5:00 PM)

• May 26 (5:00 PM) - May 29 (5:00 PM)

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adults

• Patient Volume/Census: 15-18 inpatients; ICU census approximately 4-5 patients

• Admissions: Included

• Rounding: Included

• Phone Consults: Included

• Case Mix: Pulmonary and critical care including ventilator management, bronchoscopy, and line placement

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 200 beds

• EMR System: Meditech

• Office Equipment Available: Standard ICU and pulmonary equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: NP, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, nutrition, pharmacy

• Support Staff Available: Multidisciplinary care team

• Reason for Coverage: Vacation coverage



PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (approximately 2 weeks with clean file)

• Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days for full privileges

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Rate: TBD

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: TBD

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Arterial line placement

• Central venous (CVP) line placement

• Bronchoscopy (including bedside/toilet bronchoscopy)

• Ventilator management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active PA license required

• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years

• DEA: Required

• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required

• Experience: 1-2 years preferred

• Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable with ICU and pulmonary procedures

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide inpatient pulmonary and critical care coverage

• Manage ICU patients and ventilators

• Perform pulmonary procedures and interventions

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds

• Collaborate with hospitalists and support teams

• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
