Credentialing time frame: approximately 45-90 days
Shift Details
8-12 hour shifts
Shift options include 7a-3p, 11a-11p, or 3p-11p
No on call coverage
Requirements
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
Michigan state license
BLS certification
Required Procedures/Skills
Airway management
Resuscitation and stabilization
Wound management
Diagnostic procedures
Trauma management procedures
Invasive procedures
Sedation and analgesia
Minor procedures, including incision and drainage
Pelvic exams
Psychiatric procedures
Assignment Details
Patients per shift: approximately 12-15 plus handoffs
Bed count: 19 plus hall beds as needed
EMR: Cerner
Support staff includes RNs, MAs, PA/NPs, and office staff
Facility Trauma Level: 2
Admissions required
Practice setting: Emergency Department
Teaching facility with potential for precepting medical students and residents
