Nurse Educator - Perioperative

NEW Nurse Educator Opportunity Perioperative Services Full Time (Days)

Overview:
Seeking a Nurse Educator to support Perioperative Services, including the OR, PACU, GI Lab, Pre/Post areas, and Central Processing. This role focuses on staff development, education, and ensuring high-quality patient care through training, coaching, and program implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and deliver education programs for perioperative staff
• Support orientation and ongoing training across service lines
• Assess staff competencies and provide coaching and mentorship
• Collaborate with leadership to improve clinical performance and patient outcomes
• Assist with development of policies, procedures, and best practices
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement

Requirements:

• Active RN license (ND or compact)
• BLS & ACLS (or obtained during orientation)
• BSN required (or must obtain within 3 years); MSN preferred
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of perioperative workflows and patient care

Preferred:

• Experience in PACU
• Prior teaching, training, or precepting experience
• Ability to scrub and circulate cases
