Ongoing Locum Dentist need in Ohio

Position: Full-Time Locum General Dentist (DDS/DMD)

Location: Southern Ohio

Assignment Length: 3-6 months

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (flexible; partial week considered)

Schedule Details

• Monday & Wednesday: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
• Tuesday: 7:30 AM-6:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
• Closed Friday & Saturday
• 8:30 AM start may be considered

Practice Overview

• Primarily general family dentistry (not pediatric-heavy)
• All ages seen; must be comfortable with pediatric hygiene checks
• Complex pediatric cases referred out
• 30-35 patients per day (including hygiene checks)
• Strong clinical support; doctor does not complete charting

Clinical Support

• 2 hygienists (assisted hygiene model; each with dedicated assistant)
• 2 restorative columns
• 1 assistant per restorative column
• 1 dedicated EFTA
• Separate assistant for hygiene checks
• Assistants/EFTA complete charting and clinical notes

EMR

• Eaglesoft

Required Experience

• Bread-and-butter general dentistry
• Comfortable seeing children for hygiene checks
• Must be credentialed with Delta Dental (already in-network required)
• Medicaid experience preferred; Medicaid number preferred

Travel & Credentialing

• Local or in-state candidates strongly preferred
• Travel and lodging assistance may be available if needed
• Internal credentialing: approximately 20-30 days
