Sirius Staffing is seeking a
Warehouse Associate
for a facility in Saraland, Alabama. This position supports warehouse and plant operations through container washing, material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, and general warehouse upkeep.
Rate: $20/hr
Shift: TBD
This individual will work with a small off-site team, so the ability to work well with others, maintain a positive attitude, and stay focused on daily goals is important.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Unload drums by hand and handle heavy poly pallet sides and boxes on a daily basis.
Wash returned containers before they are reused or refilled at the plant site.
Prepare and package product for shipment according to established procedures, including labeling, stenciling, banding, and wrapping.
Pull product, raw materials, packaging, rework, and other materials as requested by manufacturing, traffic, scheduling, and other departments.
Perform material handling duties, including moving, staging, loading, unloading, and palletizing materials.
Receive incoming and outbound products into the warehouse inventory system and ensure all materials are properly labeled before receiving.
Verify paperwork for incoming and outbound shipments, document discrepancies, and return paperwork to the appropriate department for correction when needed.
Maintain accurate receiving logs, enter delivery information into tracking spreadsheets, record deliveries in the delivery logbook, and ensure packages are signed for upon delivery.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and daily housekeeping of warehouse areas, including inside and outside areas of the warehouse.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
Must agree to participate in the safety monthly blood draw program.
Must be clean‑shaven; this position requires a respirator to be worn at times.
Forklift experience is not required, but the ability and willingness to become forklift certified if needed is required.
Must be able to work effectively in a small team environment.
Must be able to work on a team to meet tasks and goals, as well as work independently.
Must have a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
Basic computer skills required
Strong oral and written communication skills required.
Strong organizational skills required.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the manufacturing site.
This position may occasionally require work in various and/or extreme weather conditions.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
This is a very active position that requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day or at various times during the day.
Heavy lifting: Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds safely and move heavy items on a regular basis.
Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
