Required Skills:

• Valid medical license and board certification in Emergency Medicine
• NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS
• Proven experience in emergency department settings, with the ability to manage a high-volume patient load
• Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Meditech EMR (version 6.1)
• Prior work in open ICU settings
• Familiarity with hospital-owned apartment housing arrangements
• Additional certifications such as ATLS, ACLS, and PALS

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience; new graduates with relevant rotations are also considered

Other Requirements:

• Shifts include 12-hour periods: 7P-7A and 7A-7P, with open coverage on specific dates starting July 17, 2026
• Open ICU environment with a physician and two mid-level providers sharing coverage
• Patient volume of approximately 90-100 patients daily, with 18-20 patient encounters per provider during shifts
• Housing provided within hospital-owned apartments
• Travel reimbursement capped at $500
• Candidates must be proficient in EMR documentation via Meditech 6.1
