Job Summary
The primary goal of the Post-Harvest Production Lead is to assist the Post Harvest Department in completing the daily processing of Cannabis products. The Post-Harvest Production Lead is responsible for aiding and organizing processing of cannabis plants after harvest. This role is critical in ensuring that the final product meets quality standards and is ready for sale or further processing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the Post Harvest production team, ensuring efficient and timely production processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows and identify areas for improvement.
Implement and enforce safety and quality control measures to maintain high standards in production.
Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and contribute to the overall success of the production team.
Monitor and analyze daily production metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions for process improvement.
Coordinate with supervisor and manager to ensure Post Harvest team productivity targets are being
Maintain accurate records of production activities and report on key performance indicators.
Carefully trim harvest cannabis plants to remove leaves, stem, and other unwanted parts while preserving the integrity of the buds.
Inspect buds for quality and consistency, ensuring that only the best product moves forward in the processing chain.
Accurately weigh and record the trimmed cannabis, maintaining detailed records of weights and strains processed.
Regularly clean and maintain trimming tools and equipment to ensure a hygienic and efficient working environment.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and state regulations regarding the handling and processing of cannabis.
Qualifications
Associate's degree and above or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in running automated manufacturing machines and leading production teams.
Strong knowledge of cannabis processing is a plus (but not necessary).
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Proven track record of meeting production targets and deadlines.
Working Conditions
Environment: Indoor facility with controlled climate conditions.
Schedule: Full time with the possibility of overtime during peak harvest seasons.
Safety: Must adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
