Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. This role involves performing or assisting in the fabrication, modification, installation, and assembly of moderate to complex electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
Responsibilities
Read and understand process and procedure documents related to the job, including drawings, schematics, diagrams, wire lists, work instructions, production orders, and procedures.
Identify discrepancies in assembly processes or documentation and promptly escalate them.
Work collaboratively with other departments and within a team setting.
Maintain a neat and organized workspace, implementing the 5S methodology into daily routines.
Ensure an ESD safe work environment is maintained.
Solder to IPC JSTD-001 and wire to IPC/WHMA-A-620 class 3 requirements.
Utilize basic mechanical skills with hand, power, and automated tooling.
Use calibrated tools such as DMMs, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and crimpers.
Work with epoxies, Loctite, conformal coating, and potting materials.
Be certified in wearing a half-mask respirator and use gloves, smocks, safety shoes, and other required PPE.
Bend and form tubing to meet engineering drawings and specifications, with familiarity in compression and pipe fittings being a plus.
Remain flexible as priorities change to meet company goals and customer demand.
Travel as needed to support customers and out-of-state sites.
Observe all laws, regulations, and obligations during business operations.
Essential Skills
Experience with schematics, PCB rework, and IPC standards (610, 620, 7711).
Proficiency in wiring, crimping, and routing on PCBA's.
Ability to solder to IPC JSTD-001 standards.
Basic mechanical skills and use of calibrated tools.
Experience with pipe fitting and tube bending.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent experience with five or more years of experience.
IPC JSTD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is a plus.
Willingness to work with radioactive materials and to work overtime and weekends when required.
Capability to train lower-level technicians or act as a lead.
Familiarity with Microsoft operating system, SAP, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
US citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
Capable of lifting 35 lbs.

The role involves working with various protective gear such as gloves, smocks, and safety shoes. Employees must maintain a clean and organized workspace following the 5S methodology. The position may require travel and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities. Working with radioactive materials may be necessary, and adherence to safety protocols is expected.
