Position Overview
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled

POS Engineer

to join their team! This role involves designing and evaluating next-generation POS hardware and edge computing architecture in a high-volume Quick Service Restaurant environment. The position is onsite at a support center, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale project focused on future-proofing technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Evaluate current POS hardware and deployment models

Design edge-based architectures for seamless offline operations

Assess hardware and OS choices for future growth

Deliver architecture recommendations and tradeoff analysis

Define workload locations: POS endpoint vs store edge vs cloud

Required Qualifications & Experience

5 years high volume POS engineering experience

3 years edge computing in large scale environment

5 years POS hardware experience

1 year Oracle Symphony & Oracle Res experience

Experience with enterprise POS systems in QSR

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with NCR Hardware

OS and Imaging experience

Containerized workloads at the edge

PCI boundary and payment isolation experience
