Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role located in Taylors, SC (Greenville County SC), for an Entry School Bus Diesel Mechanic. The primary responsibility of the role is to perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs on school buses and other vehicles to ensure safety and performance. Tasks include diagnosing and addressing mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring heavy equipment operates efficiently. The mechanic will work collaboratively with team members to manage equipment and tools effectively in compliance with departmental standards.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance
Knowledge of Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment operations
Experience in performing Preventive Maintenance to ensure long-term equipment reliability
Attention to detail and ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work in an on-site, team-oriented environment
Previous experience with school buses or fleet vehicles is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in diesel mechanics or automotive repair are highly desirable
