Volunteer as a Youth Mentor!
Be A Mentor, Inc. (SF Bay Area), Kelseyville, CA, United States
Overview
The Be A Mentor Program pairs caring adult volunteers from the community with youth in one-to-one relationships. Mentors give of their time to be a friend, answer questions, and provide guidance. Mentors come from a variety of backgrounds and occupations and volunteer their personal time to be a caring friend to a youth. They serve as a role model, advocate, and resource. The purpose of the mentoring relationship is to help youth develop their full potential, both in and outside of the classroom.
Be A Mentor is looking for caring, trusted adults to mentor the youth in our community. Young people are more at risk of dropping out of high school, drug use, entering the juvenile justice system now more than ever and we need your help to make a positive change in their lives.
How to Volunteer
Mentors provide support and advocacy in many capacities with our youth. If you have the passion to walk with our youth toward success, sign up today! This is an in‑person group mentoring opportunity and you could be matched with a youth here in Willits, CA. In‑person mentoring requires mentors to spend at least one hour a week with their mentee for a full calendar year. This will include a range of activities that will be in a group setting weekly.
Activities

Thank you for considering signing up to be a mentor and helping change the lives of the youth in our community!
