About This Position
The Registrar at OSU-Oklahoma City is responsible for the provision of student record-related services with an emphasis on compliance, collaboration, and customer service. The role includes strategic planning, direction, and supervision for the Registrar's Office, including Military and Veteran Services. Responsibilities encompass configuration and ongoing maintenance of the student information system, registration, student academic records, graduation clearance, awarding degrees and other credentials, student certification services, transcripts, transfer credit evaluation, course scheduling, publications (catalog and university calendar), and National Student Clearinghouse enrollment and degree reporting.
The Registrar collaborates with the Provost's Office, academic deans, enrollment management, governance groups and faculty on development and enforcement of university academic and administrative policies affecting students and courses. They oversee training, supervision, and evaluation of Registrar's Office staff and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including FERPA and other regulatory agencies. While duties may be delegated, the Registrar must retain responsibility for results.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, conferred on or before the agreed upon start date.
Minimum of three to five years progressively responsible work experience in a Registrar's Office at a post-secondary institution or related field.
Experience working with student information system and customer relationship management software.
Experience working in a fast‑paced and customer‑service rich environment.
Experience working in both collaborative/team environments and in positions that require individualized work with minimal supervision.

Administers the departmental budgets.
Identifies areas for improvement and implements solutions through continuous process improvement strategies.
Works with campus partners to identify, develop, and review key performance indicators, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
Provides oversight of departmental publications, marketing materials, webpages, and social media platforms.
Responsible for the administration of departmental technologies, software, and student information system (Banner) modules.
Maintains understanding of and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, policies and procedures related to educational records, academic standards, and veterans' benefits.
Provides interpretation of OSRHE policy to the campus community and works with the State Regents regarding clarification when needed.
Establishes effective relationships with faculty and academic partners across campus, collaborating on issues relating to curriculum, university policies, and other areas of Registrar responsibility.
Functional Responsibilities

Understand duties of all functional areas under their purview and can step in temporarily if necessary (e.g., during emergencies or staffing gaps) while maintaining oversight.
Issue official transcripts and certifications, ensuring compliance with FERPA.

Maintain and analyze student and related educational data for internal institutional planning. Prepare reports to inform the development of campus and departmental strategies.
Provide information required for various external compliance reporting. Coordinate the submission of specialized annual reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding and the Department of Veteran Affairs reporting and auditing to ensure compliance of programs.
Work closely and collaboratively with partners on campus to ensure accuracy of reporting data and determining proper data reporting structures.
