Quality Assistant/Inspector
We are looking for a quality assistant/inspector to join our team. This role requires that this person can effectively communicate with our contractor and their trade partners, manage multiple tasks and focus on continuous improvement in quality.
Responsibilities
Ensure that the contractor follows the Inspection Test Plans that have been submitted and approved.
Perform receiving and final inspections of mechanical, electrical, or structural scopes.
Verify compliance with contract documents, drawings, codes, and applicable standards.
Review, log, track inspection and test documentation.
Review all contractor’s quality documentation.
Participating in weekly meetings ensure quality requirements are integrated.
Communicate quality expectations and issues in the field and in project meetings.
Ensure all quality documentation is completed, organized, and retained.
Perform any additional work or testing as required.
Qualifications
2 to 5 years of experience.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in conducting testing and inspections on construction projects.
On time and regular attendance.
Have the ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Experienced in the following
Concrete and concrete testing – ASTM and ACI standards
Structural steel/bolting and welding – AWS, AISC, ASTM codes and standards
Preferred qualifications
Mechanical Equipment and Piping system installation
Certifications in ACI, IBC and AWS
Pipe welding and pressure testing
Soil and Asphalt installation and testing
Preference given to Mandaring speaking candidates
