Office Specialist 2, Electronic Health Records (Pendleton) – Temp Opportunity
We are hiring a temporary Office Specialist 2 to support our Health Services Division at the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution, Pendleton, Oregon. The role lasts 2–3 months.
Responsibilities
Provide clerical and administrative support for the electronic health records (EHR) project and business operations, including:
Maintaining accurate health record files and ensuring proper filing.
Ensuring the timely flow of written and verbal communication.
Compiling statistics and reports.
Managing records and maintaining confidentiality.
Required Skills
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
Experience with Adobe Acrobat for document processing.
Strong written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
Problem‑solving and organizational skills, ability to work independently.
Knowledge of metrics/key performance indicators.
Confidence in data entry, record accuracy, and quality control.
Ability to lift boxes up to 20 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of general clerical experience involving keyboarding and word processing, or
An associate degree in any field, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
