General Summary
The Public Integrity Division focuses on election crimes and crimes committed in the course and scope of public employment. A Paralegal within the division supports prosecutors by organizing evidence, managing case files, preparing discovery, and helping track complex investigations and prosecutions. The Paralegal plays a key role in reviewing documents and maintaining secure, well-structured case management.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare reports with tasks to be completed for open cases and investigations
Monitor deadlines, schedules, and compliance with discovery obligations
Manage case files, maintain secure databases, and ensure proper handling of confidential or sensitive info
Attend witness meetings and court trials
Support trial prep by organizing evidence and assisting ADAs as needed
Draft GJ subpoenas and maintain GJ responses
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong organizational and case-management abilities
Effective communication and collaboration with coworkers, government agencies, and the public
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strict adherence to ethical rules and moral guidelines
Competence with legal software, document-management tools, and digital evidence platforms
Comfort with large volumes of documents, including financial records and government data
Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department
Required Education
Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies or a paralegal certificate
Salary (Starting)
$28.28 hourly / $4,901.87 monthly / $58,822.40 annually
