About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Technician to deliver IT services to staff and students across the United Learning Bournemouth & Poole cluster schools.
The role requires excellent IT skills, a customer focused attitude and great communication skills. The position is based at Avonbourne Academies & Avonwood Primary, and is part of an IT team providing services for the United Learning Bournemouth & Poole cluster of schools, including Glenmoor & Winton Academies and The Cornerstone Academy.
This is a full‑time position working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, all year round; however, consideration will be given to candidates looking for term‑time only.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to staff and students for hardware, software, and network issues.
Diagnose and resolve problems with PCs, laptops, printers, and classroom AV equipment.
Log, prioritise and track support requests through the cluster's helpdesk.
About you
Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365 Workspace, and networking.
The ability to diagnose and repair common hardware and software issues.
Understanding of cybersecurity basics, including safe internet use and system security.
Ability to work independently and prioritise completing tasks.
Ideally have a background in Education IT and an understanding of the school environment and the importance of supporting teaching and learning.
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality and data security.
