Bowman is offering a Planner/Scheduler VI position in the Oil & Gas sector for our Houston, TX office. The role focuses on providing technical and non‑technical support to all project activities, including planning, scheduling, resource loading, leveling, and schedule baseline variance analysis.

Purpose
Provide technical and non‑technical support to all project activities with respect to planning/scheduling, resource loading/leveling, and schedule baseline variance analysis for all projects.

Responsibilities

Expertise with standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.

Prepare plans and schedules for large and complex projects or multiple projects.

Obtain Project Team buy‑in/approval of all documented schedule assumptions and baselines.

Ensure all changes to schedule baselines are approved prior to execution, as necessary.

Provide timely and accurate schedule updates based on input/coordination with the Project Team.

Facilitate planning workshops to define project schedule activity scope, relationships, and dependencies.

Create, assign, and maintain schedule EPS, WBS, Activity Calendars, Activity Codes, Global Changes, and Resources.

Review, challenge, and incorporate external supplier/contractor schedules into the Master Integrated Schedule.

Validate schedule forecast accuracy, productivity, and produce variance analysis documentation.

Provide all necessary inputs for and actively participate in Cost and Schedule Risk Assessments (CSRA).

Assess schedule irregularities/trends to suggest acceleration opportunities and corrective actions.

Responsible for project progress measurement including reporting and schedule integration.

Develop and implement planning/scheduling processes and procedures.

Develop and maintain a schedule benchmarking system.

Coach and mentor junior Planner/Schedulers in industry best practices/processes.

Lead a team of schedulers across multiple projects/programs.

Coordinate with and foster open lines of communication among all Project Team members.

Strive for continuous improvement across all areas of work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or a Technical field required.

Seven or more (7+) years of experience.

Project management certification preferred.

Strong working knowledge of project control functions, ERP systems and tools such as MS Dynamics 365, MS Project, Primavera P6 Professional, and Power BI.

Experience with Omega 365 PIMS preferred.

Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal.

High level of personal integrity.

Strong relationship‑building capabilities.

High levels of creativity, persistence, curiosity, and enthusiasm.

Self‑starter who enjoys working in a multi‑disciplinary environment.

Strong computer skills (MS Office).

Proficient in both written and spoken English.
