Hematology/Oncology Physician

Locum Opportunity Hematology/Oncology Connecticut

Seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum assignment starting as soon as credentialed.

Assignment Details

• Length: 6 months to 1 year, with potential extension

• Setting: Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic

• Reason for coverage: Leave of absence

• Patient population: Adult/Geriatric

• Case mix: Approximately 80% Hematology / 20% Oncology (no Internal Medicine)

Schedule

• 3 clinic days per week (Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM)

• Infrequent night call (1:10 rotation)

• Weekend call approximately 2 3 weekends per year

Practice Environment

• 10 physicians and 8 APPs in the practice

• Average daily census:

  • Hospital: 10 patients per day

  • Outpatient clinic: 15 patients per day

• Level I Trauma Center

• EMR: Epic

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: Approximately 130 days from accepted offer

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology

• Active Connecticut license at time of submission (no exceptions)

• NPDB Self-Query dated within the same month as submission

• Local providers highly preferred (no flights covered)
