Job Summary
The Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be part of a growing, dynamic, highly‑focused team responsible for developing new or existing opportunities in the global IT market. The FAE will work with customers from ground to executive level, manage projects hand in hand with internal and external teams, and help grow the business whenever possible. Customer and solution focus, business continuity, and support are key factors for this position. The FAE must work with multiple departments to ensure new and existing projects meet customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of FAEs in support of revenue growth at all assigned accounts.

Serve as a solution architect and deliver presentations to help expand Fortune 1000 account penetration and loyalty.

Work closely with the sales and extended teams to map end‑user business and partner requirements and provide optimized technical solutions.

Provide technical leadership in pre‑sales and oversee implementation of solutions.

Engage with C‑level technical customers, gain and maintain trust.

Act as a highly technical problem solver who understands system architecture, hardware, and software interaction.

Possess basic hardware debugging skills.

Manage and lead product hardware and software engineers during product development.

Lead teams during investigation and resolution of problems in the field.

Have a good understanding of firmware, drivers, OS, applications, and their interactions that can cause system issues.

Develop and review systems solutions, technical bid responses, and presentations.

Work cross‑departmentally to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.

Build and demonstrate proof‑of‑concept that meets or exceeds customer business needs.

Present the corporate brand, product messaging, and solutions to customers.

Visit on‑site facilities and operations to enable solution integration and issue resolution.

Travel as required (up to 25%).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering, and electrical engineering preferred.

Excellent communication skills and business sense required.

Minimum 8 years of related experience in compute/storage server or data center or IT infrastructure desired.

Strong background and experience with x86‑based server architecture.

Solid hardware system expertise and diagnostics skills.

Familiarity with firmware, Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms is a plus.

Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines.

Ability to work effectively in a high‑pressure environment.
