Aerospace Engineer
Job Description
The Aircraft Engineer I is responsible for supporting the design and integration of aircraft components. This role focuses on developing installation designs, ensuring design integrity, and confirming compliance with FAA and other aviation regulations. The Aircraft Engineer I also provides technical support during installation activities and collaborates with internal teams to resolve design and customer issues.
Responsibilities
Review existing aircraft wiring diagrams and develop integration concepts for component installations.
Create installation and maintenance documentation, including wire termination drawings, engineering orders, wire routing drawings, and wiring diagram updates.
Develop installation hardware documentation such as harness and placard fabrication drawings.
Support the approval process to release designs for production.
Provide remote and on-site technical support during installation activities.
Support process improvement initiatives within the engineering group.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in aircraft integration or installation engineering.
Proficiency with 2D CAD software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.82/hr.
