Medix is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for locum/travel occupational medicine opportunities across multiple locations in California. These positions are ideal for APPs with a strong occupational health or urgent care background looking for flexible contract work with competitive pay.

Available Locations & Schedules

Central Coast, CA

• Dates: May 18 June 5 2-week assignment
• Mon Fri, 8:00am 5:00pm No weekends
• Credentialing: 2 weeks

South Central Coast, CA

• Dates: May 19 June 5 2-week assignment
• Mon Fri, 8:00am 5:00pm No weekends
• Credentialing: 2 weeks

Salinas Valley, CA

• 3-month assignment with option to extend
• Solo provider site Start: As soon as credentialed
• Mon Fri, 8:30am 5:00pm No weekends
• Credentialing: 2 weeks

Compensation $75 $85/hr 1099 Contract

Facility Type Urgent Care / Occupational Health Clinic

Responsibilities

• Provide care for work-related injuries including slips, trips, falls, and lifting injuries
• Handle occupational medical procedures such as lacerations and injuries to hands, feet, and soft tissue
• Support employee health programs focused on prevention and quick recovery
• Case management and patient assessment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Core occupational health clinical skills
• Acute patient care experience in a fast-paced environment
• Background in urgent care, injury management, and health screenings
• Case management and assessment experience
• DOT Certification required
• Active California NP or PA license (or ability to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

• APP experience in urgent or emergency care
