Treasury Management Officer
As a member of a highly productive, industry‑leading team of treasury professionals, you will be responsible for business development, client service excellence, client retention, and client consultation. You will drive revenue growth, self‑source opportunities, network externally, and partner with key team members across the local affiliate and group to generate new business. Working with a One Bank team, you will assess clients’ and prospects’ business environments, strategies, and industries to determine financial needs and appropriate working‑capital management solutions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Articulate Fifth Third’s value proposition persuasively to internal and external clients to influence outcomes in the sales process.
Identify client needs and present working‑capital solutions accordingly.
Understand payment processes and demonstrate proficiency in all strategic TM solutions and their benefits to clients.
Analyze competitors’ capabilities and position Fifth Third’s services effectively.
Prepare and deliver quarterly client service reviews.
Develop personal relationships with C‑suite and senior management decision makers at client and prospect organizations.
Devise and execute plans to exceed sales goals.
Develop a sales pipeline of new and cross‑sell opportunities and manage them to a win/loss decision.
Actively manage a pipeline using the CRM tool.
Maintain communication lines with relationship managers individually and as a group.
Review sales goals with RMs and advise them on calling strategies.
Educate and advise RMs on new TM product initiatives.
Assess RMs’ knowledge levels and elevate them to a minimum standard.
Partner with RMs to recommend new prospects and cross‑sell opportunities.
Collaborate with assigned client specialists to ensure excellent ongoing client service.
Assist with general bank communications to clients.
Own and resolve client issues in a timely manner.
Develop knowledge of internal resources for accurate client issue responses.
Communicate implementation timelines to align with client expectations.
Ensure proper account documentation and agreement execution.
Communicate recurring or serious product issues to management.
Recommend viable solutions to improve client service.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
CTP certification.
Six years of experience in treasury management or commercial banking sales.
Consistent record of exceeding performance goals.
Strong client interaction skills and ability to influence sales outcomes.
Aptitude for powerful presentations and negotiation with internal and external clients.
Ability to articulate the benefits of working‑capital management solutions.
Proven product and sales knowledge sufficient to mentor new team members.
Extensive knowledge of treasury management products.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Basic proficiency in MS Office.
Technical Treasury Management competencies.
Understanding of Treasury Management, payments, and commerce products.
Ability to build new and existing client relationships.
Ability to evaluate client needs.
Advanced understanding of financial statement analysis.
Ability to provide strategic treasury advisory services.
Understanding of investment management techniques.
Basic understanding of loan structuring.
Understanding of financial management principles.
Advanced understanding of accounting techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Base Pay Range: $96,500.00 – $207,500.00 USD annually. The role is eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance. Additional benefits include comprehensive health, financial, and wellness programs.
