Responsibilities

This role is a front office–embedded Prime Brokerage Risk position, sitting directly with Prime Brokerage sales and trading teams. The individual will be a real‑time risk partner to the business, supporting client activity, balance sheet usage, and trading decisions while ensuring risks are understood, monitored, and appropriately managed.
Key responsibilities include :
Sit on the Prime Brokerage trading floor alongside sales and trading teams, providing real‑time risk oversight and decision support.
Monitor client exposures, margin utilization, leverage, and concentration risks across equities, options, treasuries, and related derivatives.
Act as the day‑to‑day risk point of contact for Prime Brokerage sales and trading desks, supporting client activity within approved risk parameters.
Review proposed trades, strategy changes, and position growth for risk impact, escalating concerns to senior risk management when appropriate.
Support Prime Brokerage client onboarding and expansions by contributing to credit reviews, margin frameworks, and collateral discussions.
Perform stress testing and scenario analysis on client portfolios to assess downside risk under volatile or stressed market conditions.
Partner with middle office, operations, and central risk teams to ensure accurate exposure reporting and smooth issue resolution.
Assist in preparing risk analytics and commentary for senior stakeholders, with a focus on actionable, front‑office‑relevant insights.
Maintain awareness of market conditions, client trading styles, and emerging risks impacting Prime Brokerage activity.
Qualifications

Professional Qualifications:
Prior experience within a Prime Brokerage risk, margin, or front office–aligned role is required.
Strong understanding of Prime Brokerage mechanics, including financing, margining, and client trading behaviors.
Solid knowledge of equities, options, and derivative products commonly traded by hedge fund clients.
Experience monitoring live client risk and working directly with sales and/or trading teams in a fast‑moving environment.
Proficiency with Bloomberg and internal Prime Brokerage risk or margin systems.
Strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate risk considerations clearly and concisely on the trading floor.
Comfortable navigating a front‑office environment with competing priorities and time‑sensitive decisions.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to regulatory considerations relevant to Prime Brokerage and margining.
Experience with risk reporting, data analysis, or basic programming (e.g., Excel modeling, SQL, Python). Experience with TSImagine strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging with senior sales and trading professionals.
Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline required.
$115,000 – $145,000
The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis, considering relevant skills, experience, and education. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonus and other incentive compensation.
