About the Front Desk Associate Role
As a Front Desk Associate, you will provide a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members and guests while ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience.
Daily Responsibilities
Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assist with inquiries during check‑in.
Promote the Judgement Free Zone® by connecting with members on the club floor and offering support in their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
Resolve member concerns and, if necessary, escallate to a Manager.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.
Perform membership related functions such as sign‑ups, contact/billing information updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances and transferring memberships.
Conduct prospective member calls and tours; assess membership needs.
Execute retail transactions accurately and drive sales goals.
Perform regular cleaning and sanitizing of all exercise equipment, Black Card spa amenities, and communal spaces.
Maintain clean and sanitized restrooms, stocking supplies and ensuring clutter‑free spaces.
Conduct comprehensive walk‑throughs of club areas to identify and address safety or policy issues.
Address maintenance and facility concerns, including broken or missing equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay range: $16.00 to $17.00. Planet Fitness reserves the right to pay within or beyond the posted range based on factors unrelated to a person’s protected class.
Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance; short‑term and long‑term disability; term life insurance; a 401(k) retirement savings plan; flexible spending accounts; vacation, sick and holiday pay; and a free Black Card Membership. Available to full‑time employees only.
About Your Qualifications
6‑12 months of experience in a customer‑service environment is preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Willingness to become CPR/AED certified (training provided).
Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Demands
Continual standing and moving throughout the club during shifts.
Constant verbal communication with members, guests, or callers.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
Frequent bending, twisting and other movements to accomplish tasks.
