Required Skills:
- Active Oregon medical license and DEA certification (preferred but not mandatory since prescribing is not required)
- Board Certified or within 3-5 years of completing residency and truly eligible for certification
- BLS certification
- Experience in cancer genetics, high-risk patient management, and genetic counseling
- Ability to conduct pre- and post-test counseling
- Strong communication and patient management skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with tumor-based genetic screening programs
- Knowledge of prevention strategies and precision oncology initiatives
- Prior experience working independently in a clinic setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD degree from an accredited institution
- Proven experience in medical genetics, especially in adult oncology populations
- Previous locum or outpatient clinic work preferred but not required
Other Requirements:
- Availability to cover three clinic days per week from 8 am to 5 pm, with 60-minute new patient appointments and 30-minute follow-ups
- Must enroll with payors upon confirmation; no hospital privileges required
- Willingness to commit to a 3-6 month assignment, providing coverage during provider leave
- No procedures involved; this is strictly consultation and counseling
