
Construction Scheduler – Project Controls

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Scheduler / Project Controls Scheduler to support major energy sector construction projects in Houston, TX. This role is part of a leading facilities and construction management team delivering complex capital projects across multiple sites.
The Scheduler will develop, maintain, and analyze detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, ensuring projects stay on track, within scope, budget, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and maintain
project schedules (Primavera P6 / MS Project)
on a weekly basis
Prepare
schedule status reports, forecasts, and performance analyses
for stakeholders
Perform
critical path analysis, baseline management, and schedule risk assessments
Support project teams in resolving delays and improving schedule performance
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors across multiple sites
Improve scheduling processes, tools, and reporting accuracy
Maintain integrated master schedules and work package‑level planning
Ensure compliance with project controls standards and documentation practices
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of project controls/scheduling experience using Primavera P6
MS Project experience required
3+ years in facilities maintenance, plant operations, engineering, or construction environments
Strong understanding of project scheduling methodologies and documentation practices
Advanced proficiency in
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe)
Formal training in project scheduling tools and techniques
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Preferred Experience:
Capital projects or energy sector construction scheduling
Cost and schedule reporting integration
Large‑scale, multi‑site project environments
