Job Objective:
The Financial Analyst serves as the dedicated finance partner for one of Harvest Midstream's operating regions. In this role, you will manage forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis while working closely with the operations, business development, and accounting teams. Analysts are responsible for all FP&A activities, including preparing monthly management reports, evaluating financial performance, and contributing to commercial and strategic initiatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly explain financial results.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management reports and presentations, including financial results, forecasts, and variance analysis
Lead the monthly revenue and projects forecast update process
Collaborate with business development to maintain revenue forecasts, perform sensitivity analysis and understand the financial impact of growth projects
Partner with operations team to analyze operating expenses, track capital costs and update project forecasts
Build and maintain financial forecast models
Manage the annual budgeting process for the operating region, including defining assumptions, developing revenue forecasts, building project lists and preparing executive presentations
Update and maintain long-term financial forecasts for the operating region
Investigate anomalies, perform variance analysis and identify key drivers and trends
Summarize analysis in a concise and visual format and present findings to management
Coordinate with accounting to ensure accuracy and alignment of financial data
Support evaluation of commercial opportunities and projects
Build strong relationships with operations, business development, accounting, and engineering groups
Support the preparation of materials for meetings with executive leadership
Take initiative to improve processes, automate reporting and create efficiencies
Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position is primarily sedentary and involves extended periods of computer use, including keyboarding and viewing a screen. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, reach, or lift and move office materials weighing up to 15 pounds. The role is performed in a typical office environment with standard lighting and noise levels. Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance or a related role
Advanced Excel and PPT skills; experience with PowerBI is a plus
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
Solid understanding of financial reporting concepts and GAAP accounting principles
Ability to analyze complex data and develop presentations
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to travel to field locations for periodic financial review meetings
Team-oriented and collaborative with a willingness to contribute beyond core FP&A responsibilities
Preferred:
Experience in the energy industry, preferably with midstream exposure
Experience with OneStream and/or SAP
Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field
