R&D Tax Manager, Federal Tax Consulting Services

We are looking for a Manager to lead federal tax consulting projects in the areas of federal credits, including R&D tax credits, fixed asset services such as cost segregation studies and fixed asset outsourcing, and green building tax incentives such as Sections 179D and 45L.

Job Description

Develop and execute project work plans.

Lead technical interviews with client personnel, such as scientists and engineers.

Develop quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project results.

Identify value‑added opportunities and work in a team environment to develop business.

Exhibit proven leadership and project management skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment to meet and exceed client expectations.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills.

Strong data management skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx.

Ability to mentor and develop staff and seniors, including on‑the‑job technical training and coaching.

Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.

Personal drive to develop self and others and provide leadership insight to the existing leadership team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Accounting preferred; Master of Science in Taxation is a plus.

CPA, EA, or PE credential required.

At least 5 years of experience in public accounting; strong preference for Big 4 or large regional firm experience.

Experience in the subject matter areas described above preferred.

Proficiency with building energy modeling software required for a Manager focused on our Green Building services.

Moderate travel may be required.
