The PAI Assistant supports the PAI Coordinator and/or Program Director in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. This role ensures accurate and timely completion of the Patient Assessment Instrument, collaborates with clinical staff, maintains compliance, and supports program benchmarks and reporting.
Responsibilities
Gather, enter, review, and edit patient assessment data to ensure accurate scoring of functional status.
Collaborate with clinical staff to reflect patient care needs accurately.
Assist with CMS compliance and quality indicator monitoring.
Contribute to staff education related to PPS and FIMs/Quality Indicators.
Maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information.
Support interdisciplinary coordination and overall program reporting requirements.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Previous experience working in inpatient rehabilitation is preferred.
